Postcognito is a holding company.

It is designed to let a small group of people go on business adventures together for a long period of time, in the pursuit of compounding.

It has three objectives:

The first goal is to augment human intelligence, in whatever form that may take.

The second goal is to put capital at risk in service of others, through the operation of businesses that stand for something. Postcognito’s businesses are meant to contribute to the communities they belong to: good products or services for customers, a suitably high return on capital for stakeholders, the dignity of work, respect and valued contribution for employees and suppliers.

The third goal is the pursuit of knowledge for continuous improvement. Knowledge is defined as ‘theories or models that better predict the results of your actions’. All of Postcognito’s businesses should be set up to pursue knowledge, in order to uncover secrets that may be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise. It is the job of leadership to enable this pursuit.

Postcognito is made for the long term. It publishes one letter a year.
